RRC's 150th Anniversary celebrations
Reading Rowing Club turns 150...
On 8th April 2017, RRC are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the club with an open weekend and black tie dinner.
We will be flinging open the clubhouse bay doors on the Saturday (and possibly Sunday) morning for those wanting to relive former glories and take a boat for a spin on the Reading stretch. Alternatively, just pop down for some breakfast or lunch, spot your photo on the wall and remark on what has and hasn’t changed since you were last there.
The Saturday will culminate with a spectacular black tie dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Reading. We are delighted to be welcoming back Olivia Carnegie-Brown to Reading where she started her rowing career. If you would like Olivia to answer your question on the night, please email these in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will also enjoy a champagne reception, three course meal, live band and plenty more birthday surprises...
Tickets can be purchased before the 1st April 2017 here: Buy Tickets
Finally, we will also be collating the memories and stories of as many former members as possible across the weekend in order to piece together the first 150 years of RRC.
I would therefore like to encourage you to reach out to as many of your RRC contacts as possible and invite them to do get this date in their diary. We are looking to make the weekend as big as possible, allowing members and former members to catch up with long lost crewmates and reminisce together.
We look forward to seeing you in April.
