Reading Rowing Club prides itself on being a friendly social club. As well as a number of formal social event listed below, there are frequently informal events going on throughout the year.

• Wallingford BBQ – held at the RRC club house after the Wallingford regatta (first May bank holiday weekend)
• Henley Picnic – held on the Saturday of Henley Royal Regatta (June-July)
• Annual Dinner – End of season black tie dinner where club awards are handed out (October)
• Bonween Hallofire – Held at the club between Halloween and Bonfire night with fancy dress and fireworks (November)
• Pudding Races – Annual tradition of random crews drawn from a hat racing for Christmas puddings (same day and the Christmas Party)
• Christmas Party – Festive drinks at RRC held before the Christmas holidays (December)
