COACHING VACANCIES

Over the last few years we have increased the level of coaching at the club by employing paid coaches to work alongside our team of volunteer coaches.

As our next step in developing the club we are recruiting a Director of Rowing to lead the coaching team.

This role will be supported by a combination of full time, part time and session coach roles – paid and voluntary.

Our coaching team’s role is to support the club strategy of helping members to achieve their objectives, whether to compete at an international level or have a more enjoyable row down the river. We also continue to welcome members who enjoy rowing and do not necessarily wish to compete.

In order to support our future plans for growth and further development we are currently seeking a number of coaches both voluntary and paid. These can be either part time roles or session coaches.

We are looking to recruit to start between now and early September.

If we identify suitable candidates before this time we will look to make appointments earlier and reserve the right to close applications

We are specifically seeking the following:

Director of Rowing – Full time (although part time an option) - job spec

Additional Session coaches for all squads

Further roles to be advertised shortly.

CLUB HISTORY / ARCHIVE

This page was only started in Jan 2021 and it will take time to build. There is a lot to tell from over 150 Years of rowing at Reading. Notes on the archive provides more information. If you want to submit an item for the archive then please upload to new submissions, ideally as a ‘Word’ document with; image, dates, and names typed on it rather than just on the image.
